One day Seminar on 19.09.2019, at Seminar hall, was organized. Topic was women’s Emancipation movements in Tamil Nadu. Morning Session and after noon session were held. Inaugural ceremony started 9.45 am. Welcome Address was given by Mr. P. Jahangeer HOD Presidential Address was given by Lion. Dr. H. Mohamed Ali Secretary / Correspondent.
The Principal Address was Dr. G. Edwin Sheela, Adv. N. Swaminathan Special Correspondent, The Hindu, Tamil Nadu, Also spoke about the women’s role in Tamil Nadu. Lion. M. Afsal Fayaz the Joint Secretary, Dr. A. Mohamed Siddique the Vice Principal, Dr. N. Abdul Jalal Deam of on College were felicitated, the participants. First Session was taken by Dr. V. Bini Navin, Assciate Professor, Dep’t of Business Administration, Scott Christian College, Nagercoil.
The Second Session Resource Person was Dr. R.S. Sugirtha Parmath, Associate Professor in Tamil, Govt Arts College, Nagercoil. Veledictory Address was given Adv. Janali P. Mohamed Ismail, Ex. M.L.A. Vote of Thanks was given by Mrs. C. Pappa. In the Second Session Dr. C. Amose Dept of Public Administration chaired the session. Dr. R.S.Sugirtha Pasmath Associate Professor of Tamil Govt Arts College, Nagercoil was the chief guest and she spoke about women’s empowerment and the achievements of women in freedom struggle and the role of present. Dr. Wiston felicitate the function.
The programme was very successful one. There were 258 students participated from various colleges.
The campus recruitment program was held on 14/09/2019 Saturday at 10.30am. First introduction was given by Dr. C.Amose, the placement officer of this college . Also, he welcomed the recruitment officers form Haranikonda. The principal Dr.G.Edwin Sheela felicitate the participants and thank the authorities.
Preliminary Class:
On 12/09/2019 a preliminary class was conducted by Dr.C.Amose at the seminar Hall. There were 64 students participated. The mock interview, how to face the interview, the selection methods, important questions, how to work, how to behave etc.. were given by him.
Harani Honda Interview:
The interview was held at seminar hall. The H.R.Manager and 2 branch manager of the Harani Konda Company came. First H.R.Manager Mr. Spoke about the company and procedure of the recruitment. Next preliminary test was conducted by the company. Objective questions were given and corrected by the authorities. After that for the selected candidates personal interview was conducted. Out of 36 candidates 16 candidates were selected by the company. After selection appointment, orders were prepared and given the selected candidates. The selected candidates with the HaraniHonda authorities and the Principal and placement Officer took photograph. The placement Officer Dr. C. Amose thanked the company and the interviewers as well as congratulate the selected candidates.
From the department of Public Administration 2 students were selected in the Harani Honda. Mr. Ragul S.J and Mr. Deva Vignesh were selected by the above company. The Students of Public Administration congratulate the selected students.
Onam festival was conducted in our department Dr.C.Amose the H.O.D Preside over and spoke about the unity behind the celebration. Prof Paul Immanual, Prof Shailaja and students spoke about Onam. Quiz programme also conducted musical chair game was the special one on that day prizes were distributed to all the winners. Sweets and payasam were served to all students and staff
In order to honour the teachers, the teachers Day celebration was arranged. Honorable secretary Lion Dr.Mohammed Ali preside over the meeting. Mr.P.Selva Singh Rtd. , P.G.Teachers, Sayarmalai, Tirunelveli was the chief guest. Joint secretary Mr.Abdul Fiaz, Principal Dr.Edwin Sheela, Vice Principal Dr.Mohammed Siddiq and Dean Dr. Abdul Jaleel wished the teachers and remembered the services of teachers. Cake cutting function also done by the students. Dr. C.Amose HOD thanked the students and other dignitaries.
73rd Independence day celebration was conducted in a grant manner under the presidentship of Dr. Edwin Sheela the Principal. There were 149 students from various departments participated. Elocution, Essay writing, Quiz programme and Debate were conducted. At the valedictory function, prizes were distributed by Dr.Rajan, Dr.Vijayaraj and the principal to the toppers. Dr. C.Amose HOD organized the Inter College Competitions.
Dr. Zion, Dr. Winston, Dr. Selvaraj, Prof. Gedion, and Prof. Vinu were the incharge for conducting various competition. The best three toppers form Elocution and Essay writing were honored with shields. The Debate sessions were very interesting. Best two debate groups.
The Quiz programme was conducted very systematically. Preliminary and final Quiz programme were conducted in the proper manner. The Inter College Competition were properly arranged by the staff and students of Public Administration department.
On 05/07/2019, freshness day and Quiz programme was conducted. Cultural programme also conducted. Prizes were distributed at the end of the programme by the HOD Dr.C.Amose. The fresher’s were given prizes by the seniors.
On 4/7/2019 an I.A.S awareness programme was organized Prof. Jeyanthi Lal, Lal & Lal I.A.S. Academy Hyderabad was the chief guest. He explained the challenges in the field of I.A.S. Dr.C.Amose welcomed the gathering and also spoke about the importance of IAS.
An Anti Corruption and Vigilance awareness programme was conducted with the collaboration of N.S.S on 15/1/2019. Er. A. Ida Beryl, Assistant Manager of United Insurance, Thuckalay was the chief guest. Dr. C.Amose the HOD and Dr. Kumaran were also participated and felicitated in the meeting.
